Dog training should be engaging, rewarding, and enjoyable for both you and your dog. By incorporating play, positive reinforcement, and clear communication, Skypuppy School helps build focus, confidence, and the life skills you need your dog to have! This 4-week beginner course is ideal for owners with dogs aged 5–12 months who are ready to progress beyond puppy preschool. Classes run once a week at the same time and location - Mondays at 7 PM in Hume (Term 2) What You’ll Learn: ✔ Focus & Engagement – Keep your dog’s attention, even with distractions. ✔ Recall – Teach a reliable "come" when called. ✔ Leash Manners – Walk politely without pulling. ✔ Impulse Control – Play "arousal up/down" games for better self-regulation. ✔ Key Cues – "Stay," "Middle," "Down," and "Front." ✔ Play Skills – The best tug and fetch games! ✔ Settling – Help your dog relax. + Bonus Online Resources: Access additional support on managing unwanted behaviours, meeting your dog’s instincts, and preventing common issues. After this course, you can join Skypuppy’s casual classes to keep building your dog’s skills around distractions while connecting with fellow dog owners who love training. Our focus on Social Responsibility means your dog will learn to stay calm, polite, and confident in everyday life - whether on walks, at the park, or in busy places. Important Notes: 🔹 Small Classes – Limited spots for personalised attention. 🔹 No Makeup Sessions – Missed classes cannot be refunded or rescheduled. 🔹 Not Suitable For: Dogs with excessive barking, severe leash reactivity, or aggression.
