Service Description

Play School Pups is a fun and engaging class for young dogs and their handlers who’ve completed puppy preschool or Foundations and want to keep building their skills. Tailored to adolescent dogs, this beginner-level class offers a positive learning environment filled with play and plenty of rewards to keep your dog motivated. Play School Pups enrolment is casual, you book the individual sessions you want to attend. Moving beyond traditional obedience, we integrate social responsibility exercises inspired by GRC Dogsports. Held in a range of locations, these classes prepare you and your dog for confident, self-controlled behaviour in everyday settings. We’ll focus on essential skills for real-life situations, including: -Loose-lead walking -Reliable recalls -Polite greetings -Holding a down-stay amidst distractions -Practicing useful positions like front, middle and place. -Learning “calm liberty,” helping your dog relax and settle without needing constant direction Class Details: Limited to 5 dogs per class for personalised guidance Locations vary, so check availability and specific details when booking We manage dog-to-dog interactions carefully, focusing on positive experiences and avoiding on-leash greetings to build your puppy’s confidence in you as their handler. Important Notes: Group classes may not be suited for dogs who are highly reactive on leash (barking and pulling when near other dogs). If that’s the case, please contact Kylie to discuss options. Please do not book this class if your dog is aggressive toward unfamiliar dogs or people as it won't be the right learning space.
